Meera booked a solo women's trek two weeks after quitting a job that had hollowed her out. By day three she was laughing again. By day five she had a plan. She calls it the trip that gave her back to herself.
Kadam SoulScapes designs intimate, founder-led journeys for women, couples, and families who travel to feel, not check boxes. Verified stays. Small groups. Real transformation.
Hi, I'm Viji — and Kadam SoulScapes is the result of 20 years walking trails across the world: from Peru's Rainbow Mountain to Kashmir's Seven Lakes, Petra, Cambodia, Cappadocia, the Australian reefs.
What I learned is that the best travel isn't about miles covered — it's about how present you got, who you met, what you noticed. That's what every Kadam journey is built around.
The honest difference between mass tourism and a Kadam journey isn't the destination — it's the philosophy behind every detail.
Whether you're solo, between life chapters, or finally taking that trip you've been postponing — we've engineered every detail with your safety in mind, so all you have to think about is the experience.
Every Kadam departure is led by verified women-safe protocols: female trip leads where possible, verified stays personally inspected, safe transport vetted by us, 24/7 emergency support, and a small group ratio that never compromises on attention.
Dedicated batches for solo women travellers — your tribe, your pace, your space.
Every accommodation personally inspected by Viji or trusted local partners.
Pre-vetted drivers with track records. GPS-tracked vehicles on remote routes.
Direct line to Viji. Local contacts in every destination. We're never out of reach.
Where available, we prioritise women guides who deeply understand the journey.
Over 20 years, two decades, and more passport stamps than she can count — Viji has trekked Peru's Rainbow Mountain, Kashmir's Seven Lakes, Chandrashila, Capilano, Mount Rainier, Cambodia's ruins, Mexico's caves, Australia's reefs, and Petra.
At Kadam, she doesn't just design trips. She creates safe, soulful experiences for solo women, couples, and families. Small groups, verified stays, and the kind of local knowledge that no travel blog can give you.
No checklist tourism. We pace every journey to help you truly feel a place — its rhythm, its food, its people, over a simple cup of mountain chai.
Minimum footprint, maximum respect. Responsible travel, local sustainable partnerships, and active care for the flora and fauna along every trail.
We are the eyes for those who cannot easily access remote trails and hidden villages — bringing back stories and bridges most travellers never find.
Kadam builds warm tribes of like-minded explorers. The friendships formed on trail outlast the journey and enrich the soul indefinitely.

At 58, Rakesh had never travelled alone. His kids gifted him a Kadam trek "to get him out of the house." He summited Chandrashila at dawn, cried a little, and has since booked two more. Never too late to start.
They booked separately, didn't know each other, and shared a tent in Spiti. A year later they travel together every season — and were at each other's weddings. The trail has a way of choosing your people.

"Took our family of four on the Tirthan retreat. We put away our phones, we talked, we breathed, we were actually present. Viji created that space perfectly. Best decision of our year."
"Spiti blew my mind. The planning was impeccable — every stay carefully chosen, the pace perfect. Viji's local knowledge is something no app can replicate. Worth every rupee."

We also offer dedicated women-only departures throughout the year. Over 60% of our travellers are solo women — it's the heart of what we do.

For Moderate or Challenging treks, we send a 4-week fitness preparation guide once you book. We're happy to chat through your fitness honestly before booking — Viji has guided 65-year-olds up Chandrashila and they've thrived.

Every high-altitude itinerary includes mandatory acclimatisation days. We carry emergency oxygen, basic medical kit, and our team is trained in altitude-sickness recognition and response.
We provide a pre-trip medical checklist. If altitude is a concern, we'll honestly recommend a lower-altitude alternative — your safety always comes first.
We follow all current government guidelines. While COVID restrictions have eased, we maintain hygiene protocols at all stays, ensure adequate sanitisation in vehicles, and carry basic medical supplies.
We require travellers to inform us of any pre-existing health conditions during booking so we can plan appropriately.
Viji personally reviews every enquiry and responds within 24 hours. Tell her where your soul wants to go — she'll handle everything else.
